We know you may have a lot of questions when visiting a new church or a church for the first time. Our goal is for you to feel welcome, comfortable and at ease when you join us. Below you will find more information about BRCC and what you can expect on your first visit.
About BRCC
We are a group of individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and of all ages, who all have a common experience of God working in our lives and receiving the Holy Spirit. We are a volunteer run church and we just want everyone to have God in their life like we do and to share life together in a supportive community.
We are not about religion or putting on a show, but about personal experience with God and would love to share with you what God wants for you and your family.
Sundays
Every Sunday our communion service lasts for approximately 90 minutes. During Daylight Savings we meet at 10am, otherwise at 2pm. We typically sing a mixture of traditional and contemporary worship songs, listen to personal accounts of what God has done, look into God's word, take communion, operate the spiritual gifts, have an opportunity for anyone who would like to be prayed for, then sing a final song. During the summer months, after our Sunday morning communion service we meet up around Geelong for a picnic or other activity and during the colder months share a relaxed bite to eat and hot drink in the attached building to the main hall, before a shorter format meeting at 4:45pm
You will never be singled out, pressured to give money or do anything.
PREACHING
Our preaching is centred on Jesus and how He works in peoples lives today. This means we preach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus and how he wants to work in your life.
MUSIC
Our singing is centred on worshiping Jesus. You are a part of the band and we desire to create an environment to foster congregational singing - not to put on a show for people to watch. Our music includes a mixture of traditional hymns to contemporary songs.
