Welcome
Sundays
Every Sunday our communion service lasts for approximately 90 minutes. We typically sing a mixture of traditional and contemporary Worship songs, listen to personal accounts of what God has done, hear a talk from God's word, take communion, operate the spiritual gifts, pray (including a prayer line for anyone with a need) then sing a final song. After our communion meeting we have an afternoon tea.
You will not be singled out, pressured to give money or do anything. The Bellarine Assembly is a volunteer run church.
Preaching
Our preaching is centered on Jesus and how he works in peoples lives today. This means we preach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus.
Music
Our singing is centred on worshiping Jesus. You are a part of the band and we desire to create an environment to foster congregational singing - not to put on a show for people to watch. Our music includes a mixture of traditional hymns to contemporary songs.
Kids
Bellarine Kids is about helping everyone know and love Jesus. We do this by providing an environment on Sundays where the Word of God is taught and Jesus is worshiped by even the youngest in a fun environment. Please come find us in the Sunday school building attached to the main hall where a friendly volunteer will direct you to your child’s class. Bellarine assembly is a child safe organisation, please refer to our child safety statement.
What else?
Kid Groups Available.
From Kindergarten upwards, we have a wide range of kid groups that meet on Sunday. We believe our kids have an amazing future and together we explore Bible lessons with hands-on activities, music and teachings. We have a playground and mini basketball area on-site.
Sunday afternoon tea
Be sure to stick around after the communion meeting as we share a communal afternoon tea of hot drinks, cakes, biscuits and sandwiches.
What to Expect.
What Should I Wear?
Just what you are comfortable in - most people wear something that would be classified as neat casual.
Where Should I Park?
Park your car in the general car-parking area next to the hall. There is a ramp from the carpark drop-off directly into the hall if required.
Do I need to check in or tell someone I am coming?
We would love to hear from you, but if not just turn up on Sunday - you will be met at the door by a member of our church who will be able to show you to a seat and answer any questions.
Is Childcare Provided?
We don’t provide childcare, but Bellarine Kids (Sunday school) is run for kindergarten ages and up.
We have a creche area for younger children, where parents can watch and listen to the meeting whilst their children play.
Do all ages meet on Sunday?
Sunday is when the church gets together as one, young and old. When you visit us on Sunday you will see we are group of people of different ages and backgrounds that love to get together as one to worship God.
Do I have to stay the whole meeting.
You are free to leave whenever you wish, we would encourage you to experience a full service.
